It's Nice to Meet You!
I’m a photographer and videographer based in Central Iowa, documenting weddings and seasons of life across the Midwest and beyond.
My love for photography started early — bringing disposable cameras on family vacations and later becoming the friend who always had a camera in hand. What started as something fun slowly grew into something bigger. I’ve been photographing weddings and life’s milestones since 2014, and in 2020 I took the leap to do it full-time.
My approach leans documentary. I’ll guide when it’s helpful, but most of the time I’m simply paying attention to what’s already unfolding — the teary vows, belly laughs, and quiet in-between moments that say the most.
Outside of photography, life is slow and home-centered. My husband and I are raising our two boys on our acreage in south central Iowa with our two beagle mutts. Together, we love road-tripping to small towns, national parks, and good breakfast diners whenever we can. I’m a big homebody and thoroughly enjoy my “grandma hobbies” — quilting, baking, puzzles, antiquing.
More than anything, I hope the photos we create feel like real pieces of your life — the kind you print, hang on your walls, and come back to years later feeling nostalgic for that season.

Absolutely. Most people I work with feel this way at first. You don’t need to know how to pose or “perform” in any way — that’s not what I’m looking for. I’ll offer gentle guidance when it’s helpful, but a lot of the time I’m simply paying attention to what’s already happening. The goal isn’t to create something forced, but to give you space to settle in, connect, and be yourselves. It usually feels a lot easier than you expect.

Yes — I’m based in South Central Iowa and regularly photograph weddings and sessions throughout the Midwest, including Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City, and Minneapolis. I’m always open to traveling beyond that as well. Whether your plans are close to home or a little further out, feel free to reach out and we can talk through the details.

For weddings, most couples reach out 6–18 months in advance, especially for peak season dates. Sessions tend to be a bit more flexible, but weekends and fall dates can fill quickly. Weekend dates can ONLY be booked November-March. If you have a specific date in mind, it’s always best to reach out sooner rather than later.

Once you reach out, I’ll follow up with more details and we can connect to talk through what you’re looking for. From there, booking is completed with a signed contract and retainer. After that, I’m here as a resource leading up to your session or wedding — whether that’s helping with outfits, timing, locations, or simply answering questions as they come up.

You’ll receive your images and videos through an online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints. Turnaround times vary depending on the type of session and the season, but you can generally expect sessions within a 2-4 weeks and weddings within 6–10 weeks. Video delivery timelines will be discussed based on your specific coverage.
